Boko Haram: Monarch rallies support for Buhari

The new Ayangbure of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, has lauded the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a visionary party.
Speaking while conferring chieftaincy titles on new chiefs at the weekend, he said he was highly impressed with the party’s progress.
According to him, judging from the party’s performance in the state, there was no doubt that the party had plenty to offer.
Oba Shotobi stressed that the fact that Lagos was better developed today was a credit to the APC.
He, however, lamented that the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East remained a challenge to the Federal Government.
The monarch, therefore, called on Nigerians to pray for the Federal Government as it battled to end Boko Haram insurgents and other challenges.
He reasoned that this was expedient as the challenge facing the North-East should be of concern to all Nigerians.
He said was, however, delighted that President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered the military to end insurgency soonest, saying this was a sign that the Federal Government was serious about bringing peace to the troubled area.
The Ayangbure tasked the new chiefs to continue to contribute their quota to the development of Ikorodu.
He particularly charged the Managing Director of China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCEC), Mr. Lim Kee Yong, to ensure that those whose properties were demolished during the re-construction of Ikorodu Road were adequately compensated.
He also charged the CCEC boss to ensure speedy completion of pedestrian bridges across the road and also charged the people to join hands with him in the task of further developing the community.
