Jordan Ayew beats Mikel Obi to EPL award

Aston Villa’s Jordan pierre Ayew (age 24), has been named African Player of the Month for January in the English Premier League, beating off competition from John Mikel Obi (Chelsea) and Cheikhou Kouyate (West Ham).

Ayew played three of Villa’s four matches in January, which saw Remi Garde’s team win one, draw two and lose one game.

He was also named man of the match against West Brom.
